My name is Mike. I am 29 years old, an ordained minister with way too much time inside contemporary mainstream Christianity, and one who has been marginalised too often for not fitting in with other believers. I know what it’s like to not belong, to be told you have to change to be acceptable in church and therefore in God’s eyes, and there is nothing that I disagree with more. We’re all in the same boat in God’s eyes, and we all stand in need of the same Saviour. Nothing we can do can change that, and there’s nothing we have to do in order to become acceptable in his eyes.
That’s why I created this site. I want you to know that you matter to Jesus, just as you are, no matter what you look like or what’s in your past or whether or not you fit in at church. Maybe you identify somewhere under the LGBTQ+ heading, and the only thing you’ve ever been told by Christians is that you’re going to hell for it. Maybe you’ve been told that you’re living in sin due to how you look (hair too long, too short, too many tattoos, too many piercings, too…whatever). Maybe you’ve just never felt at home in church. Whatever your story may be, this place is for you. We may disagree on a lot (which is fine), but there’s one thing I do know, which is that you matter to Jesus.
